TEAM
Powered by BootSector, Buffalo Startup Week is led by an experienced, well-networked organizing team, and has an excellent working relationship with the University at Buffalo.
Buffalo Startup Week brings startups, entrepreneurs, founders and other stakeholders together to collaborate, share experiences, resources and ideas – and to celebrate WNY’s thriving innovation economy.
BSW22 is powered by BootSector and led by a team of volunteers. Want to get involved? Contact kat@joinbootsector.com to learn more.
BootSector is a 501(c)(3) founded by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. BootSector empowers, educates, and supports founders and the entrepreneurial startup community, delivering critical resources to minorities and underserved leaders, reducing barriers to entry, and amplifying the impact of startup community events.
Donations to BootSector power the “community bank” for founder-led startup events. BootSector uses those funds to provide payment, insurance, ticketing, software, and financial support to organizers in order to reduce barriers to entry and amplify impact.
BootSector is the enduring repository of community knowledge, connections, and resources. New entrepreneurs can tap into these resources to build their legacy. Successful entrepreneurs can give back to leave their legacy. Whether someone feels a loss of institutional knowledge or do not have an effective vehicle to give back to the startup community, BootSector can be of service. They are a non-profit that improves and distributes institutional knowledge and provides resources to fill gaps in the startup community.
We need volunteers prior to the event to help organize sessions, volunteer groups, and secure food, beverage, service, and in-kind donations. We also need volunteers during the event to help with on-site registration, directing attendees, session support, and thank you’s. If you are interested, we would love to have you! Get in touch to get started.
